Parents for Public Schools, Inc.(PPS) is a national organization with over 20 years of experience strengthening public schools by engaging, educating, and mobilizing parents. PPS is located in Jackson, MS, and has 19 chapters in 13 states.
Before The Databank, PPS and its chapters used various systems to further the mission of the organization. From different online donation systems to event management software, the chapters and the national office were working with their own tools to carry out their work.
Julius E. Rainey, Jr., Director of Information Technology for Parents for Public Schools, Inc., realized that software platforms not interacting with each other can cause problems, such as lost and innacurate data. Rainey states, “The chapters are on the ground in the communities advancing the mission of PPS daily. With many of our chapters having volunteer staff, we had to find a solution that improved efficiency and decreased the potential of inaccurate data reporting. Databank was the solution.”
With The Databank, Parents for Public Schools, Inc. has been able to create an institutional CRM that chapters can utilize to manage relationships with their supporters, send out electronic communications, and manage their fundraising records with one set of credentials.
“With 87% of American adults having cell phones, (source: The Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project), it’s crucial that PPS and our chapters utilize mobile technology to inform and educate our supporters. Several chapters have indicated their excitement about using the text message feature that’s integrated into The Databank. Parents for Public Schools, Inc. is embracing the latest and best technology, to work smarter,” said Julius.
Reasons why Parents for Public Schools chose The Databank:
