What's Working to Help Tenants and Landlords Resolve Their Conflict Without an Eviction - Part One
Here in Pennsylvania, multiple communities are creating significant change for the way that tenants and landlords are resolving the conflict when a tenant is behind on rent without an eviction.
Programs with the strongest outcomes resolve landlord-tenant disputes, provide resource navigation to address the underlying causes of housing instability, and provide financial assistance. And this benefits both tenants and landlords and the larger community.
Join us on Wednesday, April 24th at 1:00PM to learn about a successful eviction diversion program initiated by a volunteer attorney from MidPenn Legal Services in collaboration with the City of Reading.
Speakers:
Donald F. Smith, Jr., Esquire, Volunteer Attorney, MidPenn Legal Services
Kimberly Talbot, Executive Director, Reading Human Relations Commission
Moderator: Gale Schwartz, Director of Programs and Outreach, Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania
