Volunteers needed: Help immigrant youth apply for DACA!

On Saturday, November 15th we are helping 20 young, immigrants apply for DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals! At our workshops we help young undocumented immigrants to apply for receive temporary protection from deportation free of charge.

In order to ensure the workshop is a success, we require the assistance of dedicated volunteers who can donate their time and talents to the workshops. Volunteers help applicants complete their application and compile the necessary documents before the applicant meets with a pro bono attorney. No experience required! Volunteers will receive training and will be supervised by an immigration attorney.

MANDATORY TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS DETAILS:

Training: 8:00 am to 9:00 am

The training will cover:

  • How DACA workshops work 
  • The basics on how to fill out/navigate
    applications for Deferred Action
    for Childhood Arrivals, Employment authorization
