Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Retreat Retreat Theme: "Winter Silence: Listening in the Dark” The Mindfulness & Stress Reduction retreat will teach the practice of mindfulness meditation (present moment, non-judgmental awareness) and its application to stress reduction, self-reflection and the mobilization of inner resources to support health, healing, spiritual enrichment and personal growth. Beginners and experienced participants are welcome! Note: All participants will have the option to participate or to refrain from certain exercises according to their own comfort and safety levels. Directed by Mark Dannenfelser, MA, LPC Mark is founding director of the Mindfulness Center of Atlanta, whose mission is to increase the well-being and healing of those experiencing chronic stress, psychological distress and cancer using evidence-based, integrative, mind-body practices, offered through training courses, retreats and counseling. Mark is a licensed professional counselor in private practice and an adjunct lecturer in the graduate theology program at Spring Hill College. Mark is a certified spiritual director, a registered yoga teacher, and a Contemplative Outreach commissioned presenter of the Centering Prayer method. What does it cost to attend the retreat? The cost for this 2-night retreat is $400. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. Cash payments may be made at Ignatius House. If paying by check to register, your registration is marked as tentative until the check is received. What is included in your cost: A private room with a private bath, your linens and towels are provided. Delicious meals along with snacks, beverages and coffee are provided.
