Your Data Privacy Information

Tennessen Warning

When a government entity collects private/confidential data from an individual about that individual, the entity must give him/her a Tennessen warning notice. The purpose of the notice is to enable an individual to make an informed decision about whether to give data about her/himself to the government entity.

The data we are asking you to provide about yourself is considered private employment and training data by Minnesota Statute 13.47 subdivision 2. In order to collect and use this data we must tell you why we need the data, how we intend to use it, and any consequences you may experience if you supply the information or not.

Why we need the data
  • Your personal information will be used to connect you with employers and will help us determine how well our services have helped you.
  • Your education and skill preparation is requested so employers can understand your training and certification background.
  • Demographic information, such as your age, gender, ethnicity, race, and disability status is collected to evaluate whether certain employers are meeting their contractual hiring goals (For example, veterans, women, and minority workers).
How we intend to use the data
  • Your information will be shared with participating project contract holders, including the Metropolitan Council, the City of Saint Paul, City of Minneapolis, MNDOT, and any other similar entities that may participate in the future.
  • Your data may be shared directly with participating employers and/or trade unions.
  • We may share information about you with other employment and training service providers in order to maximize and coordinate services for you.
  • Your data may also be shared with federal, state and local government entities that provide funding for workforce development services.
  • Your data will be used to help us to evaluate our success in providing services to you.
  • Your information will also be shared with other government entities that are a part of commercial construction projects tracking hiring goals and/or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals.
  • Other government entities with a legal right to this data may also see your information.
Consequences to you

You can refuse to supply any or all of this information; you are not legally required to provide any of this information to use the Construction Hiring Connection and/or other project specific websites, databases and tools. Your failure or refusal to provide some or all of the requested personal information may result in our inability to connect you with participating employers, construction projects, trade unions, and workforce development services, to evaluate whether contractors are meeting their contractual hiring goals, and/or to evaluate whether our services are helping you obtain employment.

My information will be stored for only 12 months. During those 12 months anytime I sign into my account and click either the "I agree to share Information" or "I do not agree to share information" it will extend the 12 month requirement and re-register my information into this data system from the date of sign in.

I understand if I do not sign into my account during a 12 month time frame, my account will be closed and my records will be deleted from this database. In order to use this service again, I will need to re-register my information.
