Workshop Description

Society and Community: A broad overview of the history of homelessness in our society and the continuum of service and housing models being used to end homelessness in our communities.

Working with Participants: An exploration of who our programs serve as well as the strengths and barriers of our participants.

How to be a good advocate: creating a welcoming environment; what our roles are as advocates; what are appropriate boundaries; and how to take care of yourself while working in stressful situations.
