Home Energy Rater and Energy Star Training in Missoula, MT

Join the Effort to Increase Residential Energy Efficiency

Become a Home Energy (HERS) Rater. HERS ratings are increasingly being used by major builders nationwide to market and differentiate their homes. Ratings are required to qualify a home for the Federal New Home Energy Efficiency Tax Credit.

Montana will be adopting a new energy code that will required blower door and duct tightness testing for all new homes. You can become certified to conduct performance testing.

Become an ENERGY STAR for New Homes Verifier. ENERGY STAR for New Homes is experiencing greater penetration rates even during these difficult market conditions.

Join us for this important training and learn about business opportunities in residential energy efficiency.

This workshop will provide comprehensive energy auditor training with an emphasis on new residential construction and the Home Energy Raters rating process. This training is intended to prepare the participant to take the tests necessary to become a certified HERS Rater, a Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes Verifier, and a Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes Performance Tester.

Click here for complete details about the training and requirements, or contact Dale Horton: (406) 494-8653 or daleh@ncat.org.
