Sound and Sensible Organics Part II in Toney, AL NCAT’s Gulf States office, in partnership with Quality Certification Services (QCS) of Gainesville, Florida, is continuing the workshop series about organic certification for producers in the Gulf States region. This second part of the workshop series will include mock organic certification inspections. This training is designed to help farmers understand what types of records and information are required during an inspection of an organic farm, as well as the ways inspectors verify that all applicable farm activities are in compliance with the national organic standards. The Alabama Cooperative Extension is assisting with this workshop, and the Booker Farm in Toney, Alabama, will be our host. There is no fee for the event and light refreshments will be provided.
