This course was designed for behavioral healthcare professionals working with minority men experiencing substance use disorders to:

  1. Become familiar with the epidemiology of AOD use and HIV risk of minority MSM populations
  2. Identify important or unique social and cultural influences
  3. Increase awareness of how subpopulations of MSM differ with respect to AOD and HIV related conduct
  4. Recognize and leverage the unique factors that reduce risk of HIV/AIDS.

Developed by Edna Talboy, Ph.D., in conjunction with the Pacific Southwest ATTC, Central East ATTC, Northeast ATTC, and Prairielands ATTC, through a special project supplement from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

You may earn 6.0 continuing education (CE) credit hours from NAADAC or NBCC for a cost of $30.00 ($5 per credit hour). You will have the opportunity to pay for CE credit upon completion of the course requirements. There is no cost to register for a Certificate of Completion.
