With families facing one of America's worst housing shortages, our work is more important than ever.

MHP transforms the landscape in which housing happens:

Providing a wide range of technical assistance based on hard-won knowledge of systems
Conducting data-based research and analysis which both reveals how the system disproportionately affects Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities and informs us what works
Coordinating evidence-based policy advocacy at regional, state, and federal levels that prioritizes securing resources and implementing policies that expand housing access and opportunity for those who need it most
Strategically building capacity for communities

The result is that communities have foundations and frameworks for building and providing access to quality, affordable housing. For, like the air we breathe and the food we eat, housing is a basic human need. No matter where we’re from or where we live, having a safe, stable place to come home to is the foundation for our wellbeing.

The bottom line of MHP's work is to leverage resources to generate housing stability and strengthen communities.
