Minnesota Environmental Action Network uses Technology for Change
With a government shutdown averted by just minutes, it's no surprise that few smiles could be found in the recent Minnesota State legislative session. But one environmental coalition won two major victories with the help of e-ActionMax.
"In the midst of chaos at the Capitol, our ability to mobilize grassroots pressure with a unified message was key," said Lisa Doerr, coordinator of the Minnesota Environmental Action Network, a coalition of 22 organizations.
"Our ability to quickly activate community support helped win new funding for conservation and improved air and water quality programs."
Using e-ActionMax, the Network was able to mobilize over 2,000 members and send over 12,000 emails and faxes to key decision makers.
"I really appreciate the action alert - it made it so easy for me to make my voice heard," said Jean Johnson, a local member.
