Hope this note finds you well. First off, thank you for your past volunteering with High Tech Kids. There is no doubt in my mind that our success in running FIRST LEGO League (FLL) in Minnesota is due mainly to our dedicated judges and referees! And this year is no different.
We are gearing up for our largest FIRST LEGO League (FLL) season ever! With over 500 MN Teams, 15 Regional Tournaments, a 72-team Minneapolis Public Schools Tournament and one huge State Championship, WE NEED YOU!
Our Volunteer Training dates are set. Please choose the one that fits best for your schedule and feel free to bring a friend. We do require a background check, but we make it easy. At our training events we will have the forms and a notary available. Just bring a photo id and we will take care of the rest!
Our Regional Tournament dates are set too. Each tournament requires 16 trained judges and referees.
Please Update your Availability for the season online. If you are unsure, you can change this at any time!
Changes for this year
Elimination of Divisions Due to our immense growth and dwindling Division 2 numbers, this will simplify many things!
Addition of a Rookie Non-advancing Tournament in February This will be mostly run by the UofM student group "Go First" - made up of past FLL/FRC members.
Every year in our programs, over 3,500 MN kids reach an age when they make critical decisions that will impact their ability to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and careers, so thank you in advance for your support and dedication!
