Name Suffix Field Added
A name suffix field has been added to the Add/Edit Member table, and can also be added to online forms, upon request. Please send a Support Request through your Databank.
Meetings Roster Added to the Databank
Clients using the Meetings and Events Software Module can now create detailed rosters of their members' event attendance history. Simply search for the list of people you would like in your roster, then go to Selection -> Roster -> Meetings Roster and select which fields you want displayed in your roster. For example, if you want to see all of the events that each person in a particular group of people has attended, you would search for the list of people and then in the roster criteria, check the box next to Meeting Name, leaving the drop down blank.
Hours Tracking Feature Added to Meetings Software Module
Hours tracking is now available in the Databank. Clients can search for members who are awarded hours or credits when they attend an event. To search for this, go to Search -> Meetings. Select "Individual" (shows members who have at least one event with the amount of hours you specify) or "Sum" (shows members who have accumulated the amount of hours you specify). For example, you could run a search for your top volunteers, based on hours they have accumulated from attending events by selecting "Sum" and filling in the "Greater than or equal to" box.
Tell-a-Friend Functionality Added to Meetings Software Module
When someone views a meeting or event on a client's website, they will now see the option to "Tell My Friends." When they click the "Tell My Friends" link on the meeting detail page, they are brought to a page where they can type in friends' email addresses and a short message about the event. Event details and a link will be automatically sent in the message.
Preview Link Added to Meetings Software Module
When creating a new meeting in the Databank, clients can now see a preview of how the event will look when published by clicking on the Preview link on the Edit Meeting screen. Note: the Preview link will only show up once the changes have been saved.
Export Meeting and Events
There is a new button at the bottom of the Meetings List page, called "Export checked meetings." When clicked, it creates a specialized page containing industry standard HCalendar markup. There are instructions on saving the meeting to your computer and a list of potential uses. Clients can use the export file as a vehicle for sharing their meetings and events with the calendars of outside individuals and organizations, thus helping spread the word.
Add an Appointment from your Databank to your Personal Calendar
Databank clients and their supporters can now add an appointment from their Databank to their local calendar. Clients will see an icon of a calendar in a new column on the Meetings List page in their Databank. When someone views the event details on their public site, they will see a link on the right called "add to calendar." In both cases, when you click on the icon/link, the event is added as an appointment to MS Outlook, Apple iCal, etc.
Additional Drop Down Lists Added to Contact Records
When adding or editing contact records, clients can now select Contact By and Contact Type from drop-down lists. Additional fields for entering a new Contact By or a new Contact Type have been added. If you enter a value in the "New" box that already exists in the drop-down, it will automatically select the value in the drop-down. If you select something from the drop-down, it will automatically clear the "New" field, if anything is in it. A new Setup utility has been added to merge existing contact types. E.g., if you have contacts of type "Follow Up", "FollowUp", and "Follow-Up" in your Databank, you could tell it to change "FollowUp" and "Follow-Up" to "Follow Up", making your drop-down list smaller and your data consistent This utility is only available to persons who have access to the Setup menu. From the Setup menu, go to Data Cleanup-->Contact Types.
e-Marketing Software Module HTML Editor Upgraded to New Version
Our HTML Editor used for the e-Marketing and Advocacy Software Module has been upgraded from Version 2.4.3 to Version 2.6.2. The major changes for this version are: support for Safari and Opera, better support for Firefox 3, much less prone to popup-blocking, a new template feature, and a new "blockquote" feature that indents long quotes. See the Editor manual in your Databank for more information.
Contact History Sorting and Filtering
You can now sort and filter a person's contact history in their record by any of the columns. Columns can display in ascending or descending order. You can set a filter on Contact History, so that it shows/hides the items you specify. For example, if you wanted to see only fundraising contact notes, you can filter for that contact type and not show anything else. You can also click a box to remember the settings next time you sign on.
Auto-fill of meeting location address information
When creating a new event in the Databank, our Meetings Software Module now auto-fills the address field based on the meeting location that you select in the drop down. If you are entering a new location, simply type in the address once and the next time you select that location, the corresponding address will auto-fill.
Personalized Click-Thru to Web Forms
Links from a PowerMail message to a Databank online form can now be personalized, so that the recipient does not have to re-enter personal information that is already in your Databank.

If your password is strong, you won't be prompted to change it. The password strength indicator is also on the Change Password page, along with a button to generate a suggested strong password. Please remember that if multiple people are using the same user name, you will need to notify them if you change the password.
New search field in the Databank
We've added an option to the Personal Search page called Number of Contributions, which allows you to search based on the number of gifts a person has ever given. You will find it in the Summary Contribution Criteria section.
Text Messaging Added as a Standard Feature in The Databank
Clients can now keep in touch with their supporters by sending text messages to their cell phones, directly from their Databank. Blast text messaging is now a standard capability of the Databank. We are the first company to offer this service as part of an integrated nonprofit CRM. A 160-character message can be sent to any selection of contacts in your Databank, as long as they have opted in and indicated their mobile service provider. To get started with blast text messaging, you'll need to ask people to opt in to your text messaging list. Although the capability to send messages already exists, and there is no additional charge to use it, there is a small cost to setting up the online opt-in form.
